Here are some interesting items we picked up in the recent purchase of a larger collection...

Canadian artThis sheet was produced for Canada Day (July 1) in 1982. It is 12 30¢ stamps, each depicting a scene from each of the 10 Provinces and (at that time) 2 Territories.

Each scene is a reproduction of a painting by Canada's most renowned artists, including Colville, Jackson, Pratt and Carr.

A great addition for collections of art stamps. Canada Day is coming!

Stamp on Stamp Souvenir Sheet (series 2)
International Philatelic Youth Exhibition

This souvenir sheet was also produced in 1982 to commemorate the International Philatelic Youth Exhibition in Toronto.

It shows 5 of Canada's classic stamps, including the very first stamp, the three pence beaver, and one of the most beautiful, the 50¢ Bluenose.

The sixth pane is the logo of the Exhibition.
